Episode 41b: Inkognito’s BET Video Vibration

Its no secret that we’re big fans of the 80s and 90s, so its a real treat to be able to present a rare second part of DJ Inkognito’s podcast.  This is the man truly in his element, playing tons of classic material (and personal favorites) like Mantronix, Loose Ends and R&B remixes from Steve “Silk” Hurley.  Its really amazing how timeless some music can be.  It makes me wonder which songs from today will still be around 20 years into the future!

Episode 41a: Inkognito Puts The Cherry On Top

I’m guessing that most of you probably don’t know about George “DJ Inkognito” Cherry, and you know what, we’re O.K. with that. Being a primarily Hip-Hop focused DJ, to much of the world of electronic music he is a stranger and this is precisely why we’re giving him his Adventures of Soul Clap debut!

Inkognito has been doing his thing for way more than a decade bouncing back and forth between Boston, Providence and NYC. For years he was the go to guy at Skippy Whites record store (Rhode Island alongside local rave legend DJ Osheen) until one day the RIAA raided it for selling unlicensed mix CDs, an extremely popular item. During his time at the store he established an enormous collection of vinyl spanning the decades. When we asked Inkognito if we was interested in doing a mix that showed his connection to dance music, he jumped and turned out a solid deep house mix, laced with familiar vocals and the perfect energy for macking and relaxing!
