Somewhere along our last European tour we were in Berlin and our good friend Voitek (spelled Wojchiech, believe it our not) from 3 Channels aka Catz ‘n Dogz told us it was time to go to dinner. So to dinner we went, and when we got there we met Jay Shepheard. Jay is from the UK, but recently made the pilgrimage to Berlin along with so many others in search of dance music’s holy grail (which we think is actually somewhere in NYC!).
Jay is a kick ass DJ and solid producer with the bulk of his catalog on Munich’s Compost Records and Compost Black. Remix-wise he’s done work for Buzzin’ Fly, Four:Twenty, Dirt Crew and Faze Action to name a few. But that’s not really the point, the point is that after drinking many very tall beers and talking plenty of shit, we went back to Jay’s place (conveniently located across the street from the Neo-Nazi’s) to skin up and talk some more shit. While shit-talking, Jay put on this mix he recorded LIVE and we were like, ROCKINNNNN! So, away we go…

The final installment of this 3 part podcast series brings us into the peak time Pop vibes of our DJ set at Emmanuel’s Party Bucket in Leeds, UK. We’d been gigging all weekend at this point beginning Friday night at Watergate in Berlin and then Saturday in the depths of Dalston (London), so as you can imagine the energy was through the roof sexy.
Big shout out again to the London/Leeds massive for being top notch hosts during our last tour and the endless musical support!

Part 2 of this 3 part podcast from Emmanuel’s Party Bucket in Leeds, UK takes us deep into the nights selection of New Disco, Funk and 80’s. The mood of the room really lit up as we took the night down this much anticipated path. If one thing was taken away from this party, if not our entire European tour it is the yearning our crowds had from not just “tracks” but SONGS!
This 50 min mix is jam packed with classics, re-edits (even some done on the fly) and a handful of unreleased material due out in the coming months. Sorry again, no track list 😉

This Wednesday we welcome back the spanish don dada of techno for his third time at the phoenix landing for special Midweek Techno extravaganza. The last two times we had the honor to host this artist has been a treat for any ears to hear live and direct. So even after the Halloween festivities and trick or treats, we saved you one last sweet thing to snack on, but in the mean time Here’s a great mix that I’ve been jamming out to lately. It’s Paco Osuna playing live at Club4… to hold you over!
So you probably noticed that we disappeared from the blog for awhile. Basically our hosting company (1and1, never use them, they suck) has a limit on the size of databases they host and no way to get more space. The timing was horrible and we didn’t have time to fix it before euro-tour so we could only keep you up to date on facebook and twitter while we were gone (both worth checking, but not as in depth as the blog). Well we’ve finally got our hosting sorted and now we can spend the next week updating the blog on everything that’s gone down since the end of August when it died. We just posted our animated interview with Heidi and last week got a new podcast episode up of part 1 (of 3) of our 4 hour set in Leeds.
Now here are a couple more recordings of our sets from tour for your listening pleasure. Here’s the first 45 minutes of our debut performance at Watergate in Berlin for Heidi’s Jackathon party as posted on the Bodytonic Podcast. Plus below you’ll find a nice chunk of our set at Pygmalion Club in Dublin. Enjoy and stay tuned to the podcast and our soundcloud page for more mixes coming soon…
In preparation for September’s Electric Zoo Festival in New York we Skype chatted with Get Physical Records’ first lady, and one of our favorite people in the world, Heidi. For 30 minutes we talked about The New Dance Show, earthquakes, cold noodles, tattoos, Click Box, her Radio 1 show going primtetime, word associations, smooches, Redd Foxx, her favorite things and of course 90’s jams! But instead of just writing all this shit down for another boring interview we inlisted the help of our amazing homies Gabe and Mark at barbarillicusproductions.com to turn out this stupid ass animation. Welcome to the Skype Life!
