Video Day :)

Thursday, September 25th, 2008

Here on the Soul Clap blog we usually focus on music, but with Dixon closing with Adamski’s 90’s rave classic “Killer” (which had an amazing video) last night, one of the best viral videos campaigns we’ve ever seen taking place today and our participation in a massive audio/visual event this Friday night, we thought it would be fun to close out the day with some video pressure for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy :)

Episode 39: Big Sound On The Beach

Thursday, September 25th, 2008

Well it sure has been awhile since we had one of our own mixes on our own podcast. You must be starting to think that we’re lazy or something. Well maybe we are and maybe we aren’t, but here is a new Soul Clap mix on the Adventures of Soul Clap Podcast! This one was originally the set we played at Marina Bay Beach Club when we opened up for Armand, but as usual our recorder screwed up and we lost everything :( So we went back to the studio and did the whole thing over again. Everyone other then Armand playing at the party was more on the loud electro side of music so we felt it was our duty to keep it nice and deep and housey, but still big and moody. I mean we were outside on the beach and the sun was setting. So hopefully as the weather starts to change you can put this one on in the headphones and feel all warm and sunsety again :)

Episode 37: Loren is Turning Japanese

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008

Boston native Loren Lindsley has been supporting nightlife in the local scene for eons. It was unknown, however, until recently that he is also a collector of electronic music and one hell of a DJ!

Here is what Loren had to say about his set: “The mix has a deep, dark, and moody sound — more of a dreamy introspective head-trip than a dancefloor set, but with a few glitchy tracks thrown in to keep the energy up. I included a few tracks from Japanese producers and/or Japanese labels, and those sort of set the tone for it (starting right at the first track).”

Shout to Loren for coming correct. For more info, check him out here.
