This week we head across the pond for the first 3 weeks of our second major European tour. Then after coming back stateside for a couple weeks in February we head back for another 2+ weeks in European.

The RnB FreE.P.

The "RnB FreE.P." is the first installment of Soul Clap's free music series. This series will showcase unreleased, but dance-floor-tested material for free download on our website. This first release is a special thank you to our fans and supporters this holiday season. With an R 'n B theme, the FreE.P. features reworks and remixes of famed Bostonian Bobby Brown's late 80's hit "Humpin Around", fallen diva Aaliyah's seductive "Rock The Boat" and 90's Waco Texas based pop quintet Hi-Five's Kissing Game all mastered by Gadi Mizrahi @ The Marcy Hotel.

Catching Up On Releases

Sure has been awhile since we posted anything about Soul Clap releases, but that doesn't mean we haven't been busy putting music out on both our label homes (Airdrop and Wolf + Lamb). Since we last posted about our MJ Edits EP on W+L in August, we've had our first all original artist EP "The Definition" released on Airdrop 12" vinyl + digital. Then in October our second Wolf + Lamb Black 12" vinyl release, the "Pop Edits" was sent out into the word. Next, mid-November our remixes of No Regular Play's "Smiling Faces" & "Derecha" hit Beatport, with both breaking the deep house top 100 and Smiling peaking at #22. Finally, this week, our collaboration with Le Loup, "I Want You" was featured as a digital bonus on W+L's Significant Others Too EP. Soul Clap Signs With Geist Agency

We interrupt this program for a special announcement! Following Airdrop's top notch work on our first European tour we were offered the opportunity to sign on with one of the continent's best booking agencies. Founded in 2002, Geist represents top artists like Steve Bug, Matthew Johnson, Bruno Pronsato & Adultnapper and has always been known for focusing on label showcases. Now Geist has turned their sights on our very own Wolf + Lamb community and we'll be joining the W+L boys themselves and label mate Nicolas Jaar on showcase excursions throughout the world as well as solo trips to uncharted Soul Clap destinations. Our first Geist tour is coming up in January and February in Europe and there's no need to worry Airdroppers, the boys will still be taking care of all our North American bookings including a mini-tour in NYC, Chicago & Detroit in November. Skype Life 1: At The Zoo With Heidi

In preparation for September's Electric Zoo Festival in New York we Skype chatted with Get Physical Records' first lady, and one of our favorite people in the world, Heidi. For 30 minutes we talked about The New Dance Show, earthquakes, cold noodles, tattoos, Click Box, her Radio 1 show going primtetime, word associations, smooches, Redd Foxx, her favorite things and of course 90's jams! But instead of just writing all this shit down for another boring interview we inlisted the help of our amazing homies Gabe and Mark at barbarillicusproductions.com to turn out this stupid ass animation. Improper Bostonian Says We Da Best!

We're super honored that the Improper Bostonian picked us as Boston's Best DJ in their annual Boston's Best issue! The Improper is Boston's "premier entertainment and lifestyle guide" and it means alot to us to have our hard work recognized in our home town so thanks guys :)

Dancing On The Charles

For the next installment of DOTC we've enlisted the musical support of an old friend from DC (NavBox), the local king of classy slomo house (Matty Dimond) and Boston's first lady on the wheels of steel (Ms Thang), who makes her DOTC debut with a set of deep classics perfect for the 7-9 sunset session! And of course DOTC residents Randy & Sergio will bring the outdoor house/techno flavor like only Marz Entertainment can...

Midweek Techno - Wednesdays @ Phoenix Landing, Cambridge

For the past year+ we've spent each and every Wednesday night trying to accomplish the difficult task of keeping underground dance music alive in Boston. It's our only weekly residency and it takes place at tiny Phoenix Landing, which has been transforming from a pub into a club and hosting electronic music on Wednesday nights for well over a decade. We're honored to be a part of this tradition and we've done our best to bring through some of the most influential house and techno producers in the world including: Nick Curly, Tiefschwarz, Abe Duque, Miss Fitz, Shaun Reeves, Ewan Pearson, Paco Osuna, Italoboyz & Derek Plaslaiko. Wednesday 5/13 we welcome world famous Panorama Bar, Berlin resident Cassy Britton and coming soon are Le Loup (Wolf + Lamb - Paris), Masomenos (AirDrop - Paris) & Trus'me (Prime Numbers - UK). Yoyoyo 90's Jam - Dance Party & Official Mixtape

It all started way back in 2003 with a love for cheesy 90's music and the crazy idea to buy the then defunct Cross Colors and Hypercolor clothing companies and combine them into the craziest 90's throwback fashion line of all time. Well maybe we never got around to being fashion designers, but at least we founded Yoyoyo 90's Jam. Who would have thought that two plus years, an official blog, a PM Dawn appearance, tons of press, a new home and an official mixtape later we could finally say that the 90's are back and it's most totally radical...dude!

Welcome To Our New Interplanetary Web Paradise

It's finally here! After months of work on design and content, Soulclap 2.0 has arrived. The new site features an innovative design that incorporates the posting style of a blog into an easy to navigate accordion with only the most important current info. It also features a new Our Music section where you can listen to, download and purchase Soulclap beats and a section devoted exclusively to our Consulting services that makes it clear exactly what we do for our clients. For electronic music fans, the site still features links to the Soulclap Blog and The Adventures Of Soulclap Podcast where you can listen and learn about the history of dance music and download DJ mixes. The site was designed by Somerville based Butterworth Co. who specialize in bold minimal design that is heavy on iconography. We hope you like it and please send us feedback!
